Woven Worlds

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for attending the art fairs this year to see my new work firsthand. It brings me great joy to see these handwoven designs leave with happy customers.

You might think that the winter months would slow down my pace now that I am back home on the Oregon Coast, but that isn’t the case. I have been diligently working on fulfilling custom orders for my clients, writing proposals and grants, as well as designing new work for 2025. (psst...Linen will be in next year's collection.)

One of my goals for the new year is to return to Italy for a textile workshop through The Tour Studio, which will take place in Pisa. This unique opportunity will enhance my knowledge and skills, as it is taught by Laura de Cesare, a master craftsman, in a country renowned for its rich textile traditions. I am looking forward to this experience!

January 11, 2025, please join me for the opening reception of "Woven Worlds" at the Visual Arts Center in Newport, OR presented by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts. The reception in 1-4 PM. Come see the work and meet the artists.

In the same gallery, viewers can explore abstract woven creations by Susan Jones and recycled fishing rope weavings by Rebecca Hooper.

This exhibit is part of FIBER FEST, running January 11 to March 1, 2025 –celebrating fiber arts and artists with exhibits, demonstrations, and classes throughout two buildings and across four galleries."

In this exhibit, my work will come with a unique QR code that can be read by the camera on your phone. The code will take you to a short video I made to describe the inspiration for the piece.
